The hotel block at the Westin is now full.

The shuttle from downtown to the conference site (Alger Hall 110, Rhode Island College) will leave from the front of the Westin. (Look for a yellow schoolbus with an ICER-2011 sign in the window). If you are not staying at the Westin but would like another nearby hotel, the Biltmore and the Marriott Courtyard are both also located on Kennedy Plaza. The Providence Hilton is a short walk from the Westin.

NOTE: The Marriott “Downtown” is **not** within walking distance of the Westin — it’s actually not downtown at all. This may be a good choice if you’re driving, but not if you’re planning on taking the shuttle bus to campus.

The Conference Hotel

We have booked rooms at only one hotel for ICER 2011, the Westin Providence. It is centrally located in downtown Providence a block from the central bus terminal (where buses from both Providence’s T.F. Green Airport and Boston’s Logan Airport terminate) and 2-3 blocks from the Amtrak train station. Two beerpubs, numerous other restaurants, shopping, and theaters are all within easy walking distance.

  3. Rooms have been reserved at the conference rate for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights, plus a limited number of rooms available for Saturday night, for those who wish to arrive early. If you have any difficulty registering, let us know.
